While it is true that Phil Entzminger was born and partially raised in Salzburg, Germany, in virtually every way he can think of, he considers himself a New Yorker at heart. This makes sense, since he finished his childhood in New York City and even graduated high school in the City. The New York City portion of his childhood seems to be the most indelible, which is exemplified by his unabiding love of baseball and his rabid devotion to the New York Mets baseball club, to the point that Mets broadcaster Ralph Kiner is without a doubt his favorite sports announcer. To this day, he and his family continue to make a pilgrimage to New York at least one per summer to catch a Mets game.

Phil Entzminger’s obsession with the Mets is almost complete. Even after he finished college, Phil Entzminger made the decision to stay close to his family, which explains why he has never left the East Coast of the United States. Phil has been a practicing vegan since 2017, although he admits that he is not as strict as he should be. The reason is an honest and reasonable one, however; he just simply loves to eat cheese. Phil Entzminger is a vegan because he believes it to be a key to a healthy lifestyle. However, he also swears his vegan diet has allowed him to think more clearly, have more energy and to feel stronger than ever before in his life.

Phil Entzminger Has Many Memories as a Non-Native New Yorker

Although Phil Entzminger was born and partially raised in Salzburg, Germany, he considers himself a New Yorker at heart, since New York City is where he finished his childhood and where he graduated high school. That part of his childhood seems to be the most indelible, since he is now a strong lover of baseball and he has a rabid devotion to the New York Mets baseball club. Phil’s two favorite Mets' players of all time are Mike Piazza and David Wright in more recent times. He also considers Mets broadcaster Ralph Kiner to be his favorite announcer. After college, Phil Entzminger made it a point to stay on the East Coast and close to his family and New York City. To this day, he and his family still make a pilgrimage to at least one Mets game every single summer.

Phil Entzminger Shows a Strong Passion for Golf

It’s quite obvious that golf is one of Phil Entzminger's favorite games. Even though he admits he isn’t all that good at it, Phil still finds golf to be very enjoyable, even on those days when the hazards seem to attract his ball to them. He has played near his old home in Austria, at both the Seltenheim Golf Course and the Kiagenfurt-Seltenheim course in Austria. In his adopted home of the United States, Phil Entzminger has played all over, but he refers to the Cypress Point Golf Club in Pebble Beach in Southern California as his all-time favorite course. He credits the beautiful weather every time he’s played there for his love of that course. , primarily because of the weather which has always been spectacular when he's played there.

Besides traveling all over to play golf, Phil Entzminger also listens to music as a pastime, especially when it comes to jazz. He makes regular pilgrimages to New Orleans, so that he can experience what he calls "real" jazz. Among Phil’s favorite jazz artists include Harry Connick Jr., as well as many other modern jazz players, like Greg Osby, Charles Gayle and Jacob Collier. He doesn’t care for and actively avoids most jazz-rock fusion, although he does like some of it. He considers listening to all jazz very relaxing, like the times he can be found sitting back with a cup of hot coffee, listening to Connick.

In other aspects of his life, Phil Entzminger became a vegan back in 2017, as a way to eat healthier and also show more respect for animal life. While he claims something of an obsession with only consuming foods that avoid the use of animal products, although he admits to not being as strict as he should be, due to his love of cheese.

Phil Entzminger has been a practicing vegan since 2017. In fact, he professes to have an obsession with consuming foods that have no connection to animals or animal products. That said, he does slip sometimes, especially when it comes to dairy; more specifically, he loves cheese. Because of this, he freely admits that his obsession has its limits, even though Phil Entzminger believes that being vegan is a major component of an overall healthy lifestyle. Phil insists that his vegan diet has made him stronger than ever before, and that it allows him to think more clearly. He also swears that he has more energy that he had before.

When he can find some spare time, Phil Entzminger loves to travel and play golf, although he also loves to listen to music, especially when it comes to jazz. In fact, he likes to combine his interests and makes regular trips to New Orleans, so he can listen to and feel what he considers "real" jazz. One of Phil’s favorite artists is Harry Connick Jr., but he also enjoys other modern jazz artists, including Charles Gayle, Greg Osby, and Jacob Collier, among many others.
